last week we took four teenagers to san diego so that they could visit this freak show.  i don’t think that i have ever seen so many “interesting” people in my life.  maybe i should leave cedar city more often.

DERBY DAY! my favorite sport… watching the ponies run!  the first saturday of every may i spend the day watching the coverage of the kentucky derby.  usually going into this day, i have not followed the horses closely enough to know who is in the running, by the time the race starts i have a favorite (usually the underdog-with the best story) if you’re looking for me on saturday, drop by and watch with me.

do you have seasonal allergies? i do! i have tried every prescription, otc, nasal spray, and eye drop medication that exist to combat the nasty little histamines that rule my springtime. they all leave me with some degree of “medicine head.” one year i even had a kenalog shot. it worked but left a dent on my butt for years (like i need another one of those) last week i bought a neti pot. this bizarre device works with a saline solution and gravity to clean out your sinuses. i think it helps! with this and a regular dose of zyrtec, i just might make it to summer.

BY DESIGN if i could choose my own child, i would make her look like me (only prettier and smarter) with her dads coloring, and hair.  when i prayed for healthy beautiful children, i had no idea what was in store for me… yes, i am the luckiest mom in the world.
